Tendance stay the same in 2010: 82,6% of all email are SPAM!
82.6% of e-mails that have circulated on the Internet in August 2010 were spam down 2.4 points from July, according to Kaspersky Lab. The first source of spam in the world is the United States (15.5% of traffic), followed by Hong Kong (7.7%), India (7.2%), Russia (5.5%) and the United Kingdom (5.1%).
1.8% of global spam comes from France, which is the hexagon in 17th place worldwide between China and Colombia. Most of the spam circulating on the internet are detected by filters and never reach the final destination. Spammers are just imaginative: an analysis of spam in English makes it possible to locate 90% in three main categories. Drug sales account for 40% of spam, followed by the sale of counterfeit goods (27%) and scams such as phishing (20%).
